Royal Golf Marrakech is one of the most iconic and historic courses in Morocco, located just a short drive from the city’s Medina and the Palmeraie area. Originally opened in 1927, the course has hosted a long list of notable visitors, including Winston Churchill and David Lloyd George, and still retains its timeless charm and colonial-era elegance.
Set against a backdrop of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, the course is lined with towering eucalyptus, cypress, olive, and palm trees. Its original 18 holes offer a classic parkland layout with narrow fairways, strategic bunkering, and subtle undulations that reward accuracy and patience. A newer 9-hole extension brings the total to 27 holes, allowing varied combinations of play.
Facilities include a stylish clubhouse with a terrace overlooking the course, a pro shop, locker rooms, and a restaurant serving Moroccan and international cuisine. The course is walkable, caddie-friendly, and renowned for its peaceful atmosphere, making it a favourite among visitors seeking both challenge and tradition.
